Fathers and Sons
Fathers and Sons A father is a hero to his little boy The son is the world, dads pride and joy. As the boy grows, he is sad to find, His dad is not perfect, and to his faults he’s not blind. Dads look around at this new man in the house, Is there need for jealousy between him and his spouse? This baby boy goes from boy to a half man, The dad feel a bit threatened but does what he can. This new birth of a man, he watches over, He struggles with all the new things that seem to take over. This baby boy, he can no more understand Until his father reminds him of his own manly stand. When he dyed his hair red, and bought cowboy boots. From jumping canal locks, just for the hoots. He takes stock of his memories, and looks at his son With striped hair and rings in nose and ears - yes each one. He pats him on the shoulder and says ‘Son I love you.’ I cannot wait for a grandson or two. Just so you see what we dads have to go through, So when you have sons of you own, I can help you.
