We Fade
Your hero, the son of the Gods. Death to Nero, he walks the crowd with nods. At last men die, at last we storm the walls. Each deathly sigh, at last Rome falls. The decay has come, defying all time. Where has the plague come from, boasting its crime? Our world was one, our world was vast, This war we won, with an All Star cast. At last love is here, at last Death has arrived. There is everything to fear, all deceit has thrived. The betrayal has shown, our king has died. To each is own, for I've not cried. The dagger struck fast, the walls fall dead. Look to the past, to every virgin bed. Our kingdom can't last, when they have fled. Music throughout the land, pierces our ears. Can we take a final stand, will it last throughout the years? Take everything away, my deathly ghost. We die every day, there's nothing to boast. Your begotten son, fights through waves. The mourning sun, reveals recent graves. Oh how he loved her, but at what cost? We were so sure, this war was lost. The empire we made, cannot last forever. Tonight we fade, history so clever. We are now dead, rest easy my beloved newly wed...
