Im My Biggest Fault
"Maybe it was his faults that made him run away" How does one go about finding an escape from life’s pain? When all you do is find yourself crying, alone in the middle of the night, Hoping and praying that just maybe there is someone out there that will save you and listen to all of your problems Waiting for his phone call at one, two, three in the morning Because he was the only one that listened to your pain You know he’s gone and you almost except that fact until you want to cry on his shoulder And all you can think about is the faults you have It never comes across your mind that maybe it was his faults that made him run away, You don’t know why you must constantly put yourself down just to make him seem like the better person and that you were in the wrong And then, day breaks You quickly splash cold water on your face and apply make up Just so you can hurry and run out the door before your mother sees your puffy eyes from the lack of sleep and crying for him that night You sit alone on the bus and hold tears back When you enter school, Everything changes. You turn into a different person. You walk around the halls with a different mask on It would kill you to let someone know that you are vulnerable and week When schools out you quickly rush back to the buss because all you want to do is sleep the pain away.
