Collagen Lips and Pixy Stix
she, who in a moment of self-realization, looked in the mirror & saw that the lips that she was shuffled accidentally by evolution (just as you got big feet & the next got deep brown eyes) were not up to code in her book, that is, she decided that her life in general would improve & possibly become more of an overall positive matter if she took it upon herself to get collagen injected into her lips. she was done lip scrubbing she was done rubbing her lips raw with salt & cayenne pepper she was sick of lining her lips with lip-liner she had tried every lip plumper that she could find she was sick of drawing round them with nude lipsticks & stinging them with “bee-stung” lip glosses--- she’d done all that she could & still to no avail, those lips only echoed the age that she was feeling creeping into her life like the reaper himself. this morning she looks into the mirror & licks them, convinced that anne, eva, liv, scarlett, jessica, keira, rosario, monica, angelina & jennifer all have nothing on her, she walks proudly into the life that she feels she can lead again & yet while getting her hair done, the vultures stare at her in envy--- they try & eat away at her like in nature when having just discovered a fresh kill, but she endures, she thrives. deeply breathing in the day, sexy & anew--- she has taken it upon herself to spit in the face of evolution to modify her own existence to sculpt herself into what makes her feel better & though the judgmental may stare they may in fact feel that they have the right to condemn--- still, she licks those pixy sticks now on the train, on planes & she enjoys every minute of enticement--- having chosen self-creation over self-destruction, she does not look back.
