A Day In the Life of the Death of God
I dream of the true death of God, of all gods, of all faiths, of all needs for such faiths & of all the oppression of peoples, destruction of freedoms & outright brutally horrific violence brought upon our species as a result of religion. I dream of stepping outside my abode one day to find that all the physical manifestations of religion have been removed from our lives & that we no longer have to see evidence of any of those superstitions, those devoted cults of poorly written fictional characters still found today in those infamous poorly written works of fiction. I dream of a conversation in the morning, noon and night with individuals that are no longer afraid of their own cessation, if it is even a factor anymore, as our own human future is limitless. As a result of this complete lack of fear, I find myself further dreaming of the mutual sharing of beautifully wondrous breaths of a new freedom found within our every heart as a direct result of God’s (All Gods) true death. I dream of the tribalism that once divided our species as a result of the idiocy of religions, of such irrational belief systems, being subsequently eradicated, revealing to all of us just how damaging these divisions were & just how lucky we are to start over together, instead of further tearing ourselves apart through religion. I dream of walking with the wind blowing through my hair, one day, in the life of the death of god.
