His Love Will Carry You Through
A man walked upon the shore With the Lord in a dream one night. The story of his past unfolded And he was touched by the awesome sight. With each scene set out before him There were footprints in the sand One's belonging to himself, The other's to his guiding hand. However when the man looked back As the last scene did unfold, He saw something in the sand That made his heart grow cold. And so he turned unto the Lord There walking by his side. With heavy heart asked the question That would not be denied. "Lord you said if I trusted in you There'd be nothing I'd face on my own. Yet at the times I needed you most You left me to walk alone. Though at times in my life I can see Two sets of footprints in the sand, In all my darkest hours there's only one Why Lord-I don,t understand"? "My dear child" the Lord answered of him "Doubt not, what I promised is true. If ever life's journey is too much to bear. That's when with LOVE I carry you through" I wrote this based on the famous FOOTPRINTS.
