My World, My Girls
The tiny one all covered in red, I was the first to touch her head. To me I thought there was no other. Then I looked up and saw her mother. As I looked into my daughters' eyes I knew this kind of love never dies. I wanted so to take away her pain. Tears fell from her eyes like morning rain. I remembered counting from one to ten. And here it was happening all over again. Ten tiny fingers, ten tiny toes, and on that face was a perfect little nose. A work of perfection was that little girl, and just like her mother, she would end up "my world". Her mother eventually forgot all the pain. But a few years later she did it all again. Another little being, brought into this world. Another perfect angel that I'll call "my girl". Copyright: November 27, 2005
