The Look In His Eyes
I could always tell when I took the picture of him, by the look in his beautiful eyes. All you could see in them was his love for me. They were not capable of telling me lies. There were some secrets there that no one else knew, only I knew what they were saying. It was the same look that he gave to me, when next to each other, we were laying. That same look I’d see in his eyes, when he’d sing a song to me, he had written. The one that always let me know, that forever, by me he’d be smitten. “No love could have been truer, it was one without flaws“, is what everyone always told me. I knew it was true, and everlasting, but there was one thing I didn’t foresee. It was the last look that I saw in his eyes, on that day, when he said to me, “Honey, I’m dying”. It was the last look I ever saw in his eyes, and this is why I can’t stop crying. So, now I’m back to looking at his pictures. It’s the only thing I have left of him. But I know that, by the look in his eyes, That kind of love I’ll never see again.
