Voices Left Behind
As the sirens sound, you can feel the temperature rise, this one will be a heated battle you think, as you grab your supplies. As the fighting begins, in your arsenal you reach deep, in the few seconds of silence you see a young trooper weep. As he cries he screams “I was drafted into this war, I don't want this.” You see he had no choice in this matter, as bullets barely miss. One side begins to lose so they fall back and retreat, although, fighting will resume, next time they meet. Not too long ago, these nations were at peace and united, and it seemed like a short time later, they were benighted. Neither side sees the lives they've torn apart and lost, it is so senseless how much this has cost. Both sides drew up plans and gathered their high powered fleet, Today's battle will be remembered, one side will leave in defeat. There is no holding back on this field, so they pull out their big guns, In the middle of it all without a shield, are the young ones. When it is all over, both sides are in pain, they both lost, and the innocent in between were slain. So congratulations, to the both of you on your holiday, I hope you both enjoy it, but it wasn't yours to give away. As the Generals shake hands, and the parties leave this place, it is the young victims shared, who walk out with disgrace. What they gave up wasn't only theirs, it too was mine, but in this war I lost my voice, and I don't know how to sign. ***What does this mean? What am I talking about, and no its not war. So guess***
