All By Myself
On the radio, I heard a country song ‘Bout the tragedy of being all alone I know that must be something really bad But a quieter quiet, I have never had I live alone, yes, all by myself I don’t have to put up with anyone else I can have trail mix for my supper The internet is my pepper-upper I can go to bed early or stay up late If I want company, I can get a date No one hogs the covers or the bed Or steals the pillow beneath my head If I want to, I can, If I don’t, I don’t Come home when I please, or if I want Clean the house now or leave it for later Be a lady or become a smooth operator This is the first time I have lived alone My husband passed away, my daughter has gone My life is my own, it is what I make it I get very lonesome, but I can take it
