I have walked with many, Yet I have walked alone, With no one to guide me, I simply was not shown, I have looked death in the face Many times before, I know that my God was with me through it all, The peace I can find only comes from deep within, For my life has been filled with many of sins, Now a woman, never a child, Innocence was severely defiled In his light, I can always smile, God knows it had been awhile, Moving on while moving up, Allowing the truth to fill my emotional cup, Letting go and letting new in, I can see change starting to begin, A father to the fatherless there is no doubt about it, When I get gifts from him, my eyes become lit, Awakening my spirit, that was very much asleep, Allowing his cleansing power To abolish any question of defeat.
