Death Maybe Easier
Sometimes I believe the right way is death. Take me out of this mess, or put a bullet through my chest. Never the more, never the less. What's the difference? Send me off to a far distance so I can just be alone Because I know for a fact the my life is blown. I ask you to send me to a better place. A place where love or grace don't have to be chased. Close enough to taste, the sweet sweet feeling of being gone. People ask me what's wrong. Listen to the words of this song. Long have I waited to be put to sleep. I'm not talking about counting sheep, A sleep much deeper than being six feet underneath. I guess this makes me feel better So please read this letter and please just let her, Just let her take me away. Far away to where not another day will be gray. Believe this is what I feel. Not fake, but truly, truly real. Death maybe easier. The thoughts of it drive me crazier: I put a bullet in the gun and snap in the revolver, Anxious all over. Playing with fate, I point it straight up to my head. I count to three till right before me, I see my life flash in front of my eyes. I pull the trigger. I open my left eye and wondered why I didnt die. I begin to cry as I realized its not my time to say goodbye.
