Gales and the gusts of the once tiny beast Thickening darkness he threatens my life If I could only avoid the tempest tornado And turn back on the lights But alas, my arm forever glued, from keyboard it will not move The one light switches itself on An idea from out of my own head A shout to the beast in the black, come get me instead Then his wind whips and whispers At first it’s right into my ears But within the next second a train in a tunnel The now massive demon beginning to near My digits still pumping I pull my arm straight In hopes that my taunting… Will continue to bring him my way Like a plane crash… Out of the ebony fog The impact of the fiend Knocks me free from this instrument carved from the log Sprawled among the tile I lay And all at once the darkness is gone The destruction, the mess is also fixed But my screams now shatter the calm As I watch… Those two little fingers plunking on and on “Plunk, plink!” And only my hand hangs on!
