Steps
As I follow the path to you I work hard try to fight everything I have heard from society I take one step forward two steps back Temptation from every corner refuse to follow but sometimes, Lord, I stray So I take one step forward one step back You know I try, Lord But sometimes, It's hard without friends with me on my trip to you Take one more step forward and still another step back I want to believe in you, God But you know all of my struggles with everything I lose and fall daily But I'll always have your guidance As I take one step forward and no steps back I combat fierceness But I still look to you I trip on the road to heaven, Lord, but I know that I can always choose to get back up again. ~~~~~~~~~~~ Honorable Mention in the contest: The Road Less Traveled
