The Only One
The Only One By Rick Rucker I was lonely, seeking dating and fun, Then, I met the Only One! Beautiful, sexy, and so much more, Born in Europe, but the girl next door, I knew, on our first date, For another one, I could not wait! When I first saw her, I had to remember to breathe, My mind and body started to seethe, I met her on a dating site, Perhaps the method was not right, The results, however, were the best, She far outshone all the rest! I had advertised for a woman to be my wife, To share my Love, share my life, My friends all told me, I was daft, To date on a computer, they just laughed! Now that she owns my Heart, And every other part, My pals do not think it as strange, That I want to re-arrange, My life to suit this luscious creature, With every lovely feature, That Heaven might graciously bestow, On an Angel, on the Earth below, Now, nearing a close, I love her, from her head, to toes, I have already popped The Question, She said “Yes,” without any suggestion, Of a thoughtful pause, I think she sees me as a cause! I do not care why, Merely that I am the guy, That I will wake up next to her, Something that will surely spur, Me to do great things, To try to make her not regret our rings! My old life, she has torn asunder, Until six feet of ground I am under, I will be the happiest guy, So happy, that I could cry!
