Upon the Quill of Forever
Where you live, beside the silence In those vowels and verbs of creation Which etch your blood with wishes You dare not speak, or open your heart Lest the pile driver of yourself Wake you up Ah ! pretty noun, pretty verse and colourful tries To say who you are To fall upon the echoes of an advert And devour its meaning Simply nothing Save you from this constant thinking And speak Search the gut wrenching tongue For something Which cuts itself and dances itself from your being A bland statue, edifice, monument and tomb Still you find as you warble Though the screaming clutch of yourself would have you In an agony utter something else But I; like a painted mist Ponder on concept And I am slapped by the intensity of sky And in such; how could I express, I Save to reach in every aching vein To put these words in calligraphy And there, see them remain, eternal PROOF ! I said something once And as I spoke I wrote in eternity And in eternity My words Remain
