What If
It's the age old tale of being on the outside looking in And forever feeling hopeless never knowing what could have been Two souls who cross one path, two minds that speak the same one heart that carries hope one heart that carries pain He's my escape from a place that doesn't give a damn With him I feel like me -I remember who I am I know that it won't last, yet somehow I know it could but once your heart knows heartache it forgets about the good I swore I'd never fall again I won't let my heart give in and I held true to my promise until I fell for for him... Why do we invite new wounds just when the old ones heal? How do the emotions we resent become the very ones we feel? What's a girl to do when her heart doesn't want to fall? but she can't ignore how fast it beats after barely beating at all? Is it possible to find it? what we learn must not exist I've encountered every kind... could it be theres one I've missed? I'm still not sure what it is but I'm starting to like how I feel because for the first time -in a long time- ...my smile is real
