The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo
The girl with the dragon tattoo I once knew her And so did you She came around When the circus Came to town She was happy And she was gay At least she seemed That way. Though when she Was alone at night He always came to her From out of her dreams He was a boy she once knew A boy she met out of school He was handsome and kind. He told her that he loved her And that's all she knew! Her father told her she can't go with him Because he is way too old for you You are my jewel and you are free Though with him you would never be For he is wise to the ways of this world. You are my innocent plucked from the sea. Your mother's heart would break If she knew you left with him For she once met a boy like him He broke her heart all the way through Then I said come with me Rest your heart against mine I'll show you I'm not that boy The boy who took it for free You came to me 8 months later My jewel of the sea So I say to you again You cannot go with him!
