Wild Strawberries
Where is the friend I seek at the break of day When night falls I still have no sight of him. My burning heart shows me traces from him, still no sight of him. I see traces of him where the flowers have bloomed. His love mingles with every breath I take. His voice calls to me in the summer wind. Here comes the thunder down on my aching heart. Letters from my lover in years past. Do you not see the love & tenderness spilling over onto the lined papers? It was the summer house where we first met,,, He was with his family and I with mine. We were all of 18 that summer. But I knew it would take a lifetime or two. Before our love was through. Don't be afraid of the wind my love For it is only me feeding off Wild Strawberries Was watching an old Troy Donahue movie, teenagers falling in love on summer vacation, they were eating wild strawberries; 12, 20, 2004 1: am
