As high as a mountain, There were two of them, They rose high above the ground They were quite a pair, stout Reaching for the skies As if they wanted everyone to rise. To find what lies Above clouds plights. Like a father and a mother They stood so tall, two pillars, Unable to contain their pride By the presence of folks worldwide. So high like the hopes of all mankind To see a world that could wind Upon the laws of fair exchange Trying hard to adapt to time change. But all came tumbling down; cries, Silenced by a dragon's spit fires. Rising high, dark clouds of ashes Burying all these hopes to ashes Only weeping could one hear From above and from below, tears Anger for not seeing the beast Before it came for its terrible feast. However from these ashes A new spirit rose, bravery unmatched A unity of people, unseen before Let us continue to uphold their honor Build an international memorial monument A Holy Ground for all to come and pray in reverence.
