The Shade of the Deep
Slate blue sea, its shade Gone gray under clouds of strain Went in search of a color To change its languor. It moved to the West To where the sun was headed Could be a dream like finding gold But there lied its hope. It crossed weather storms Whipped at its body, deformed Under ongoing low pressures Baiting its temper. Sudden flash in skies Where clouds parted for a while Encouraged its own spirit Giving its soul, grit. The rains came again But refusing to complain It began to rock and dance. Then it froze, quite tranced. Stopped dead in its tracks The prettiest shade it tracked Forest of dark hazel trees Bowed to greet the sea. Had stood by, waiting Knowing the sea was coming Content gave the sea a glee The shade of the deep. By CarolineCécile Copyright © 08.16.10
