We Hardly Knew Ye, Mark
When but three months old we sadly passed you to God's eternal care. His promise of seeing you again one day consoled us in our despair. What might you have become, dear Mark, had fate not dealt you so? A doctor, a minister, a teacher? Alas, that we shall never know. We hardly knew ye, lad. Although you blessed our lives for just a little while, We shall never forget your sweet face and precious smile. Your sisters were so proud to have had a little brother, And you were the apple of our eyes to me and your Mother. We hardly knew ye, son. Although your time with us on earth was all too brief, We were comforted by God and His angels in our grief, Knowing that at the end of life's perilous earthly bourne, We'll hold you once again one glorious and joyous morn! We hardly knew ye, Mark. In memory of our son, Mark Evans Hinshaw, 11 Jan 1968 - 6 Apr 1968 Robert L.
