The Broken Genie
While walking in the desert sands A genie's bottle I found I rubbed until my hand was sore But he didn't utter a sound Well I had almost given up When a puff of smoke I see Then a little man appeared in the sand And said, "Hey, were you looking for me?" "Three wishes" I said, "Is that right?" I politely of him inquired He said, " I'm sorry, I don't do that anymore, You see, I'm semi retired" I said, "You're a genie and I'm you master, My wish is your command" He said, "Whatever you say but you'll be sorry, You just simply don't understand" "For my first wish it's money I seek I want you to make me rich" With a wart on my nose and pointy hat He'd turned me into a witch I said, "What have you done?, I said rich not witch" He said, "I'm sorry let me try once more" Then I started to scratch, from a terrible itch For he'd messed up like before By now, I was glad it was almost over And my third wish I was starting to fear That's when I realized this genie was deaf He just simply couldn't hear So I took out the pen from my pocket And wrote my third wish upon his head I wished he could hear but he couldn't read So I was turned into a hearing aid instead
