Away from home, a week or two A friend of mine was feeling blue When I returned, there by the gate Stood husband John in merry state And spread before my startled eyes To MY amazement, MY surprise Arrayed within my perfect beds A thousand nodding snowdrop heads What happened to my brilliant show?
