Moments
My face needs sun tan lotion again My heart pumps harder than a marathon racer My eyes twinkle in the light like stars The sky is so blue it reminds me of fun days at the beach The sun shines down on my little angel feet I sing as I skip down the street. Kids come outside to play again no matter how dangerous it is out. The block could be poisonous like ivy but children still come out and with no pouts. I mark my calender for these days when the flowers are in bloom and the sun stays longer. I cling to my emotions like ex boy friends calling ex girl friends when what they had is over. Today I opened my eyes, got out of bed and stared at the ceiling. Every feeling is rushing at me like meteors to earth. And I feel like this epiphany I just gave birth to like a baby makes my insides hurt. I'm not too comfortable with what it intells so I put the letter back inside and sealed the envolope. I'd get down on my knees and pray that one day these feelings would run away like pet dogs escaping out of closed gates.
