Growth of Beauty
Growth of Beauty ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ From the start you were my beautiful blossom I needed a reason to stick around Although you were nascent I could see the truth which lies within Such an abstruse fact is always veiled The rose surrounds itself with thorns for protection Every time I desired to touch you, my finger tips bled You allowed me to glimpse your beauty but only from afar Knowing your need for more, fueled my determination Seeking the path through walls of anguish and grief Bitter torment sharpened barbs and past shards But not just to see my desire, my touch was an intrinsic need For your blossoming needed to be carefully tended When I gently removed the bruises from your soul Thy essence needed a new and safer place to grow You found it in my heart, this garden which I've reserved For you my lovely lonely shadowed rose The desolation of that barren and weeded past is no more I've touched the velvet joy of many souls in bloom but none like you Your silent message to me was loud and clear So here and now in our new Eden of love together we grow.
