Warm Lavender For My Pillow
I jumped and kissed the moon, it blushed an orange glow. I climbed a tree and plucked a star, before the frost could show. The Owl hoo! Hoo! who are you, my name is Flora a Goddess long ago. I journey from bed to bed, to watch my children grow. Each night, o'er hills and dales, valleys, hedgerows, copse and vales. I bless the seeds with gentle love, sprinkle stardust from above. Walk the fields when the moon is wan, straighten the Daisies where the rabbits ran. My children crave for affection, I give them heart and my protection. Every flower, every shrub, and every weed creates an ambience for the air to feed. Colourful, elegant, some are plain, before these eyes they are my name. Come the day my work is played, the sun, the wind, the rain shall aid. In shaded glade I must sleep, if for the night my promise keep. Under the spreading magic Willow, a bed of moss and Lavender for my pillow. Surrounded by a sea of sound, the Bluebells sway and chime. I close my eyes, to sleep in peace and time.
