I Saw You
I stand on the edge. The edge of depression and despair. All hope is gone. Lost in the darkness of my soul. I close my eyes tightly. Tears stream down my face. My soul is overtaken by hopelessness. I fall to my knees. My heart slows its beating. My breathing shallows. My life flashes before my eyes. A life of mere existence. A life of pain and regret. As my life slowly ebbs away, My ears can barely make out the whisper. The soft whisper that my life was not in vain. Whispers of you are precious to me. The compassionate voice, so full of love, Speaks to me by name. As my name was spoken… The darkness that overshadowed my soul crept away. Hopelessness is no more. The glimpse of glory my eyes witnessed was… BREATHTAKING. Brilliant rays of blinding awe, Stimulated every sense of my being. My child, your life IS worth living. As he spoke my eyes followed his gaze… AND I saw you.
