Life In Many Colors
Little by little I noticed myself change, As relationships progress things happen that way. I didn’t like who I was becoming within myself I started to fight. I couldn’t picture myself being the man you want. A man so easily painted in black and white. When I couldn’t give you more you changed and grew cold. With all I learned in life I have to be true to my soul. The key is on the table, I’m out the door. Just the clothes on my back, I’ll not take more. You tried to bend me over backwards to change who I am. I’m not like the snake, so easily to shed my skin. Nor am I a chameleon, To blend into the background you paint. I like to live my life in many colors, Sometimes that goes against the grain. I didn’t notice the wall I built around family and friends, I only hope they forgive me as this comes to an end. So there’s no ever after, Life’s to colourful not to see. I’m not the type to be caged, I need to stretch my arms and be free. There is no ill will but I must say good bye, I have to live my life in colour, and I can’t do it in black and white.
