Save It For Another Day
Deep inside me I hear that voice It keeps sayin 'Happiness is a choice" But the demons still won't leave me alone Beating on the hardened stone Can't seem to make them go away Showing themseves in the light of day Echoes deep inside my brain Trying to drive me insane When I dare to look just over there See the One hiding with that blank stare Hear that voice inside my head The little girl who's still not dead Whisper ever so lightly in my ear Warnings of omens "listen to me my dear" Smell the odor so strong upon the floor "Only a fool would go yonder and open that door" Of course you're so much stronger than that But to the Demons I do tip my hat Gullible and stupid I once might've been And for a tiny small moment I let them slip in Twas only the tip of the iceberg to melt Just a little heat that was felt Can't let myself get all carried away So it's better to save it for another day Copyright © by Scarlett Anderson
