Dear Kelly
Words cannot even begin to describe The visions I saw when I looked into your eyes Ever searching, seeking the truth Never doubting or seeming aloof Those eyes penetrated the highest wall And burned through the toughest of them all You were friends with those who had none To you it didn't matter what they had done You judged not by a persons past And to the concept of love you held fast It seemed you knew so much more The answers or the key that unlocked doors You wrote with words of wisdom to song Almost as if you knew all along The angels would soon come to call And take you away from us all So I came to see you on that sad sad day Hoping that seeing you would show me a way To help me understand the reasons why One would be taken during the height of his prime As I looked down upon your face There I thought I saw a slight little trace Of the warm and incredible smile That was on your face all the while I looked at you then looked around Many tears came streaming down And though your presence we will always lack Through the tears - I smiled back September 1990
