A hero is a soldier dodging here and there, stone to stone, house to house, all to advance forward, gaining ground to get to his buddies, fallen at the front, running aground in the river of blood, he does proceed, just to reach the treasure. A hero is the meek late night dog walker, bolting into action at the sound of a blood curdling scream, reflections of orange heat, into the conflagration to save the small, ignoring the heat and burns, returning the scorched package. Heros are the brave ones who stood the test, exposing the naked soul, for all to see, out in the open, not locked up tight, like a powder keg, waiting to explode from the pressure mounting within. Heros are those who put others first, doing what needs to be done, no matter what the cost. Not a lonely soul timidly peeking out the door to see if all is clear, if it is safe. Heros touch our lives everyday in their own special way. They make us want to be better people, a goal to strive for, someone to look up to. A hero is a powerful tool when used appropriately.
