Why Love?
Why should you love someone? That’s not a simple question. Love is full of complex lessons. Sometimes love can be complete turmoil. Why did I love someone? I don’t know why. Every time I think about it, I wipe tears from my eyes. When I look back on that short time, That we were together, I recall the times that I often treasured: The flirting, the kissing, the smiling, The giggling, the whispering and so on. It’s so hard to forget, but life must go on. I know that he doesn’t ponder of me. I can’t keep him out of my head. I dream about him constantly: Like the water that runs in and out of the sea. At night it gets so unpleasant, That I toss and turn in my bed. I feel like my world is tumbling down, But he feels like a player running around town. Playing video games, football, and basketball, Takes up his time quite often, While I am at home writing and sobbing. I can’t believe he’s gone. My friends say that I should be overjoyed. I’m full of misery, not just a tad. He ought to be devastated, To let go of the worthy woman, That he once had. I’m never ever falling in love again, To any of these merciless men. The man that I loved is no longer with me. He probably wasn’t with me then, How foolish could I be! Why love? Why me?
