A New Time
The memories are still quite vivid Of the only love that was worth living. The time has gone for us I know It eases not at all the sorrow. For now she goes to anothers arms To give to him all her charms I feel the sadness deep within It fills my heart to the brim I also feel that jealous rage To see her now so disengaged From me after all we shared The lies she told of how she cared She left my heart in tattered pieces She left my tongue completely speechless She left my mind numbed and addled She left me with a burden straddled I shall not her destroy me I am more than he can be. If another way she chose This chapter of my life does close. Another chapter opens anew Another challenge, another clue Of what for me the future holds I look forward to it strong and bold. I will face it head on and brave Looking not back always ahead. I ask you come along with me I will be ok! You will see!
