The Pluvial Calm
Sitting here,I listen to the behaviour of the rain as it trounces the awnings seeking to purify the iniquities abound this sweltering day that has drawn to its end and therewith bidding goodbye. Lightning flashes embellish thunder clashes which scare even the larger creatures such as I,along with all the timorous life outside that I can't even bid a beware to as they scurry for shelter along the slaked hills and lawns. There is a sense of repose that does so rarely impose my thoughts in the quiescence of the crepuscular hue that now blankets the sky, offering evening to those biding for the rain to dwindle to a mere trickle or two. Waiting draws to a cessation, fomenting a tinge of elation as the people begin to bustle out of their doors. I have not a worry in the world, now lost in meditation that cleanses my mind, leaving nothing for the heart to implore.
