Quiet Forest
In a strange town, with strange plants, sit I, on an old brown fence. The light would show, if it had a chance, but alas, the darkness is too dense. Giant creatures fly overhead, on this dark day, of a medieval place. This forest teeming, but in silence, dead, the trees so thick there's no time, nor space. But now, there can be heard a faint tune, coming from every direction, to my ears. This quiet song, to the beautiful moon, carries me deeper, despite my fears. Into the brush, I timidly creep, the sounds get louder, the image clear. A giant lily, holds the answers I seek, the air gets heavy, and filled with cheer. After climbing the lily, I reach the top, and playing the tune, is a plump little troll. Seeing this sight, I suddenly stop, happiness penetrates to my heart and soul. This little man, caused me to smile, I decide to sit, and enjoy the sound. The dark starts to fade, after awhile, as if it seeped, into the ground. 10/26/09
