If Walls Could Talk
If walls could talk just what would they say? What do they hear through out the day? What could they tell about what they see? What could they possibly reveal about me. Would they confirm of tears that may fall, When no one else is around? Or could they speak of a broken heart, Or of a soft sighing sound. Might they prove of a love that may exist, Between one party and another? Or could they make evident the loneliness of heart, As one party desires another. Would they confirm of encourageing words, If they could hear from within? The type of words that cause faith to step in, Again and again and again. Might they confirm the concern one might have, As if a loved one was sick in bed? Or could they speak of possibly tears of joy, As if a long awaited letter were being read. Could they declare of any cries that may have been cried, While no one else was home? Or shouts of praise that went on forth, As one was home alone. When you move, could those who move in, Discern a love and a reverence from within? Or would they discern the anger and hostility, That had built up from times past until then. I provoke you to stop and take the time to think, About the truth hidden day after day. I also challenge you to ponder the thought, “WHAT COULD MY WALLS SAY”
