Childhood
Growing up was something hard, going through things children shouldn't. Deep inside I know we were scarred, we wanted to change it but couldn't. Where was Dad and what happened to Mom? Always knew there was something not right. She came at me with her screaming palms, always coming to scream and fight. My sisters saw all that happened to me, Could never leave them alone in that place. I did my part as it had to be, even taking blows to all disgrace. Finally found them a good place to go, and soon I'd be leaving too. Where I would go nobody would know, and staying away was the thing to do. Once we left it stayed that way, and now looking back it is sad. Now I'm a parent as of today, and often it still makes me mad. Never could I do things to a child of mine. wonder if she ever looks back to then. Amazing how we all turned out fine, never to live like that again. Just knowing it was ever so wrong, sorry is how I thought Mom would be. In the end we all are strong, and living a better life for me.
