Something to Think About
you said it's not goodbye, just space to breathe, but silence speaks what hearts don’t always leave. i watched you pack your reasons into light, and walk away without a single fight. the door closed soft, like you still cared— but softer still was what you spared. and maybe it’s not over, maybe it’s just doubt, maybe love is quieter when it's figuring out. i won't beg, i won’t chase—i won’t scream or shout, but if you're gone for now, here’s something to think about: i stayed. when the days got rough. i prayed. when the words weren't enough. i gave everything i could allow. that’s something— something to think about. i never needed perfect, just your try. but now i’m left with questions you won’t reply. your coffee’s cold, your sweater’s here— the echo’s all that’s loud and clear. i’m not the kind to build a wall— but i won’t chase if you won’t call. and maybe it’s not over, maybe it’s just time, to let you find what’s real beyond the climb. i won't beg, i won’t break, won’t wear you down, but if you're wandering far, here’s something to think about: i stayed. when your skies turned gray. i swayed. but i still found a way. i made room for all your doubt. that’s something— something to think about. if you come back with wiser eyes, and we still fit beneath the skies, i’ll still be me—just stronger now, with something more to think about. maybe it’s not over, maybe you’ll come through, with a clearer heart and something true. i won’t beg, but if you turn around— i hope you’ve thought about how: i stayed. when love was unsure. i prayed. that we’d both endure. i gave what this heart knew how. and that’s something— something to think about.
