Enter Poem or Quote (Required)Required Have I finally found what I am searching for? That so wanted, yet that so far away. My most tender and fragile yearning. Color amidst vast skies of gray. I've marveled in awe at the cosmos divine. Gazed into the obsidian expanse, wide-eyed. What am I but a humble mote, adrift upon a sea of black? Has my briefest stay, unnoticed amid its endless waves, scribed the finest enduring trace? Perhaps not. Still I muse: were I granted but one selfish wish, I’d choose questions. For to not know is better than to know—Yes! I have yet to conceive a more sorrowful thing than an answer. Where beyond it lies wonder? In its heavenly realm be there place for the dreams of a child? I say not! Hence my humblest request, of my generous djinn: simply questions. Yet I must reveal: one single question, devours me ever still. Some force unseen, tugging such frail a strand, unravelling my will. Its icy grip, tormenting, cruel inquisition. Stop! I’m ready to confess! This heretic, flayed to the bone, has failed the final test. I fear to ask. I fear to know. Yes—ignorance is bliss. I’ll have your answer… Here it goes… True love—does it exist? Then from beyond, or perhaps within came: They say two things shant share one space in time, for time forbade it. Whose prison walls hold all at bay, save one who dare betray it. Two hearts, one place—one heart remains. No laws of time or space. Hear ye who asks, just look within. Thine heart shall guide the way. Where did mine lead, I’ll tell it now. From one question, two answers came: Does true love exist? If no I say, beyond all doubt, all else exists in vain. If yes I say, all else that is, is icing on the cake. Deep inside, some thing tells me, I am quite close indeed.
