SCRIPTED SUFFERINGS
My life’s a movie, roll tape, lights, cameras, action Playing every scene with pain as my main attraction The life I live is more like a devilish transaction Said I quit the drugs, but slowly I’m relapsing Time ain’t on my side, I feel my time elapsing Trapped inside my perception like Nathan in a steel cage Need a time machine to go back, just me and Nate I hear my pops tell me I ruined his life I can relate. he did his best, but I let him down My mind is ed chasing a dream that was never mine All I live with is regrets, chasing shadows, half my prime is gone No more, from now on I’ma do me now I’m done crying, game’s over, I control my life Chip on my shoulder, done drinking, I was paralyzed I find it hard getting out of my comfort zone On the other side, a sign was posted saying, “No flex zone.” Terror on that side; a place for outcasts My pain always feels like it will last forever In my closet is where I found God, but I harshly judge myself I'm breaking free from the chains that bind my soul I'm finding strength in the darkness, making it my goal To rise above the pain, and let my spirit unfold I'm rewriting my story, a new chapter unfolds I'm taking back my life, no more growing old In the darkness, I've found my light.
