Enter Poem or Quote (Required)Required On older couple who’d married young…have been together 50 years… In that time they shared a family…shared a life of laughter, joy and tears. When Alzheimer’s slithered into her brain…and took up residence there…. there were days she did not recognize him…days she’d sit emotionless and stare. There were other days, less frequent, when she knew his name and they’d embrace… when it was like she never left…and a smile retuned to her face. On these days he would smile…when he saw her light come on… “Where have you been my love?” He’d ask…”I’ve missed you while you were gone”. Other times when he noticed the spark returning her eyes and he spoke…his voice would crack… as he gave her a big hug and said “My love…it’s good to have you back”. When I reflect upon this couple as I often do…one thing I’m always thinking of… is the feeling he conveyed with those two words…My Love. And I wonder…of all the words of affection ever expressed…that can beguile and enthrall… If the words My Love, aren’t the two most beautiful words of all. For when they’re said with meaning…no other words will sound as sweet… with the passion behind the words My Love…no other words can e’er compete. When you have the opportunity to say My Love to another person… I hope with all my heart…you do… and I also hope that you are blessed… to have someone say My Love to you.
