A Solemn Goodbye
Its time to say goodbye to you I guess I know that now I don't know what happened But you're gone there is no doubt To say my heart is broken does not justice give Its so very hard to just find the will to live. My love for you was all there was When we were here together I had thought that it always was meant to last forever But that day you went away My soul knew something secret That I would never see you again No reason for it given I always thought that you'd be back as you always had been But the accident took you away and you went straight to Heaven The streets in Heaven are too crowded tonight For you have joined them there An angel taking her rightful place Watching over us down here I hope someday I earn a place Beside you on those streets Helping you to guide all you love To our own eternity
