Maybe I don't understand love, an enigma that entangles my soul like a thick fog
Maybe I don't understand love, an enigma that entangles my soul like a thick fog, For in the moment I think I've found that person, reality slips through my fingers, When I feel like I love, it turns out to be just an illusion, a fleeting dream that unravels, And when I trust and love with all my being, a wound opens, revealing my fragility. Will I ever have unconditional love, a relationship that defies the patterns of the past, Different from the love my mother, my sister, my neighbors experienced, all with similar stories? What is it like to love someone with the trust that they won't use it against you, but cherish the gift given? What is it like to complement each other, to feel so comfortable that you can be vulnerable in front of them? My heart fears vulnerability, though it is a requirement of love, a risk that must be taken, It fears not being strong enough to rebuild if it is shattered again, But hasn't it already been broken and found again, reborn from the ashes of its own pain? Yes, here it is beating with hope, sustaining my existence beyond mere survival, Perhaps it was the pain that strengthened it, more resilient than any wall or defense, And in this flow of thoughts and emotions, I seek answers, looking for beauty in imperfection, I let my heart dream of a love that knows no bounds, of a dance of intertwined souls, A love like a clear sky, unafraid of storms, but welcoming them with open arms.
