LOVE HATE
We are both blessed and cursed as humans because when we’re born…inside our heart we find concealed… a wonderful spectrum of emotions and the ability to feel. Blessed because on the top of the spectrum is our ability to love… which in itself is a spectrum quite ornate. and cursed because at the bottom of the spectrum…is our ability to hate. We journey through life, hopefully, using the love in our heart to guide us helping us steer clear of the hate that’s trying to divide us. But when hate, like now, succeeds in dividing us… when it seems like hate is something we’ll never rid ourselves of… that’s when, more then ever, we need to look for signs of love. When we look around at the people in our neighborhood and community we see people showing love to strangers, to their friends and family. We see people sharing the love of babies, sunsets, rainbows, animals, flowers and trees… Sharing the love of pizza and chocolate (OK maybe that’s just me) Ironically when we see a person…and that person is showing love we smile…we never think to criticize or berate them… because at that moment we don’t know, yet, if we’re supposed to hate them. And therein lies the dilemma into which we are all immersed… to try and find a way to manage our blessing and our curse. Perhaps the best that we can hope for… is to come together…guided by a kind and loving heart.. and hope we all possess enough love to keep our hate from tearing us apart.
