what different days look like
I cried earlier - just trying to describe how it feels to sing along with a spiritual choir, I made the error of singing a line and got all the feels. I was laughing too, but even thinking about beautiful moments is beautiful, like a loop of loveliness that can mess up your make up (and street cred). Of course other stuff happened - went out, saw good things (cathedral, people, vintage clothes), ate great ramen (though I should probably practice before attempting it again in public), went to a village festival, then had a chippy tea. Later I cried again. My friend had sent a video of her dog in small walking socks because he has a hip problem that means he's grazing his feet. I didn't cry about that (though it was funny-beautiful too) but I remembered the time she'd been on a Teams meeting and kept typing her password of a fun rhyming version of the dogs name in the chat with a 1 and then a 2 after it whilst everyone kept a straight face. I picture a director asking an important question... "ahh Kate is typing, we'll pause" then: dogsname1 a polite pause, giving her another chance typing... dogsname2 anyone else know the answer? LOL That story isn't travelling well but I have tears coming down my face here... Oh - and seeing my daughter's friend's grandma joining in the Bhangra dance lesson at the festival with the most enthusiasm I've seen for anything ever! - no tears, just joy - I just loved it. I'd think it was all a cute dream but my thighs hurt from going back to the gym after my travels, like a pinch-me moment but I'm being pinched continuously, so I know I'm awake. This didn't turn into a poem but still, joy is magical. Maybe I'll haibun the lyrics of the songs played whilst I was there to wrap it up: dance it out, you're hot to go let's do it, let's live it up I'm floatin' around in ecstasy
