When Mind Changes
The landscape shifts within the skull, A silent tremor, deep and vast. Where once conviction stood so full, A fragile doubt is growing fast. The well-worn paths of thought diverge, New vistas open, stark and bright. What yesterday did fiercely urge, Today feels shrouded in pale light. The anchors dropped in certainty's bay, Now strain against a rising tide. Ideas once held in firm array, Begin to drift and softly slide. Is it a weakness, this new view? A fickle breeze that bends the will? Or growth, that strips the old from new, A thirst for truths that yet instill? The comfort known, the easy stance, Are challenged by a restless quest. A yearning for a wider glance, To put old paradigms to test. The self we knew, begins to fray, As boundaries soften and expand. Embracing shadows on the way, To understand a shifting sand. For in that change, a power lies, To shed the skin of what has been. To see the world with fresh surprise, Where rigid lines dissolve within. So when the mind begins to turn, Don't fight the current, swift and deep. For in that flux, new lessons burn, And deeper wisdom starts to creep. ©bfa050125
