A Horse with No Name's Enduring Ride
From desert winds to ocean spray, A harmony that lit the way. Three voices blended soft and clear, A sound that soothed the listening ear. Dewey Bunnell with words that flowed, Of horses wild and paths untrod. His melodies, a gentle breeze, Rustling through the sunlit trees. Gerry Beckley with chords so bright, That painted landscapes in the light. His soaring vocals pure and true, Reflecting skies of endless blue. Dan Peek's soft touch, a soulful strain, A touch of country in the rain. His harmonies, a tender art, That resonated in the heart. "A Horse with No Name," a journey's start, Across the sands, a world apart. "Ventura Highway," dreams in flight, Beneath the California light. "Sister Golden Hair," a sun-kissed plea, A melody that sets you free. "Tin Man," searching for a soul, Making broken spirits whole. Their gentle rock, a calming tide, Where worries eased and hearts could hide. A soundtrack soft to sun-drenched days, In golden, hazy, memory's maze. Through changing times, their music stayed, A comforting serenade. Of open roads and skies so wide, Where peaceful feelings could abide. So let us listen once again To harmonies that still remain. A tribute to the band so fine, The timeless magic of America's shine. ©bfa041725
