A Heart Made Whole
Please don’t ever leave me – I know You are a promise That I can hold to, a promise that will never leave, A promise that is full of grace, filled with love that never fades Arising in the heart who believes, a freedom that restores So I am so amazed, so amazed… I’ll ever praise, ever pray. Please don’t let go of my hand – I know Your love is everything You mean more to me than words can express, more Than the light that can sometimes fade, beneath the stars, Beyond the realms of my spirit’s breath, the reason that I feel Like I am so blessed with Your spirit, so blessed by Your peace. Please don’t ever stop loving me with Your unending devotion The beautiful that stirs in me, a hope that can erase my tears A wonderful that flows down into my soul, despite all my fears I know You are here, where I can see that I have all I need In the music of Your grace, the song that lives amid the pain. Please don’t ever leave me – without Your love, I’d be lost Without a hope, without a purpose, without a plan for eternity Without Your love, I’d be filled with nothing more than worry, A fear of what might be – without You to bring me through the grief, Without You, my Savior, my King – I’d be without my best friend. Please don’t ever leave me, Jesus, the reason for my hope The music that forbids my heart to let go of the faith, precious faith Coloring my heart in the richest praise, the assurance of grace The unending thanks – I’m blessed and amazed, praying, praising Your love sustains, takes away the past, reveals the promise… Without You, my light – the way, the truth, the life I’d be without a prayer and I know You truly care Because without You there, I’d be completely unaware Of the joy and the peace, the beautiful in this faith That remembers, when I pray, I can see the light of day When I seek Your face and feel the warmth of your grace I know that I’ve met the love that comes from God above I have a hope and a faith, assurance that I’m surely saved From the darkest pit, the enemy tries to put me in – hell, Where I’ll never go, because You love me so and I believe… You are the reason, the peace, the love that prevails Because without Your light, I’d never see the way out From the troubles that I’ve seen, the depth of shame You remind me that I’m Yours and I am saved to the uttermost, With a grace that never lets me forget, I’m forgiven…. And, I’ll never stop living… forever, eternally, in Your presence Where I know what it means to be surrounded by joy and love Surrounded by the light from the One who will never let me go He’s the hope that gets me through, the hope that I always knew Would bring me through the worst, and free my heart and soul. Never let me go – I hope, dear God, You know – I love You all the more Because it is Your love that won my soul – it is Your love that made me whole!
