Although some Biblical scholar's, including AI, interpret this heavenly visitor to be the angel Gabriel, with whom, Daniel has further encounters with. However, other scholars firmly believe: it was the pre-incarnate visitation and manifestation of Jesus Christ. This Biblical commentator agrees it was: Jesus Christ instead of Gabriel. V 6 Matt 24:3 Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying,"Tell us when will these things be? And what shall be the sign of your coming? And His answer is found in Matt. 24:4-51. V 7 Daniel 7:25 He (the Anti-christ) shall speak pompous words against the Most High, Shall persecute (the tribulation) saints of the Most High, And shall intend to change the times and the law. In Daniel 12:8, he asked the angel Gabriel the same exact question, the disciples of Jesus Christ asked Him privately on the Mount of Olives in Matthew chapter 24. But his answer was much different than His disciples received from Jesus Christ. V 9 And he said,"Go your way, Daniel for the words are closed up and sealed until the time of the end." Cause the prophecy's of Matthew chapter 24 were both sealed and hidden from him. V 10 1 Corn. 1:30 (no cross ref. v 31) But of him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God--and righteousness and sanctification and redemption--that, as is written,"He who glorifies, let him glory in the Lord."
